Scope & Content Side One: William Todd tells of his family coming to Oak Creek Canyon to where Garland's is at and what the canyon was like. They lived in a log cabin and later built more cabins creating Todd's Lodge. Billy went to school at the Upper Oak Creek School at Slide Rock and later to Flagstaff High School where he drove two other students and received travel expenses from the county. Laura tells about the construction of the road through the canyon. Billy explains how the irrigation ditches worked. They sold or traded their produce in Flagstaff. Childhood entertainment is discussed. Billy tells about his children and where they are now. He owned the first hardware store in Sedona. Laura and Billy talk about all the changes in Sedona, Slide Rock and Garland's.
Side Two: William Todd talks about his dad, Frank Pendley, and the coming of electricity to Oak Creek Canyon. They talk about the heavy snow of '47-'48 and the birth of his daughter. Place names around Sedona: Red Rock, up in the Red Rocks, on the mountain, Camel's Head, Snoopy, Steamboat and Gray Mountain. William and Erestine talk about Bob and Dan Kittridge. They sort through old photographs and discuss them. Finally William talks about the changes to the Canyon.
