Scope & Content Mabel is the oldest living member of the Yavapai tribe. She, along with another person present, talks about many aspects of her family's life. She speaks some of the Yavapai language, giving the names for certain things. She talks about her mother's memories of her people and the soldiers of Bloody Basin, Skull Valley, and the Trail of Tears as part of their relocation to San Carlos. She tells about her childhood. Her mother had told her about a 'nice white man named Jordan', who helped their people in Clarkdale.
