Scope & Content Side A: Nellie Hart talks about her family and where they came from and her getting married. She worked at the Schnebly's hotel and cooked for the movie companies. Her and her husband homesteaded where King's Ransom is, they grew a variety of fruits and vegetables and raised chickens and cattle. Later years they ran a dairy. Nellie tells of several adventures/outings in the Canyon. She tells about the electricity coming to Sedona and what her refrigerator was like before electricity. Throughout the interview it is pointed out that Nellie has remained busy all her life, working as a companion, quilting, and traveling.

Side B: Grandpa Hart was the administrator for the Coconino County Hospital. The school at Slide Rock is discussed and what happen to the building and bell. Nellie describes the homes she lived in especially what it was like living in tents. Her father did construction work. Throughout the interview talk of baking and recipes and what has changed in food preparation over the years. Chores that needed to be done and what a typical day was like for Nellie. Nellie cooked for movie companies. She tells how she first met her husband Fred and fell in love and had a cattle ranch at Red Rock. Nellie's travels are discussed at length and how her longevity is probably because she is so active. The interview ends with a discussion on beauty.
